STONES AND LIZARDS (85CMS X 60CMS)

A taula (meaning table in Catalan) is a T-shaped stone monument found on the Balearic island of Menorca. Taulas can be up to 4 metres high and consist of a vertical pillar with a horizontal stone lying on it. A U-shaped wall often encloses the structures. They were built by the Talayotic culture between 1000BC and 300BC.

53 to 58.
Seedheads next to full blooms, cake next to statins.
The body has words sewn onto it from the poem “Warning” by Jenny Joseph. It’s the one beginning,
” When I am an old woman I shall wear purple with a red hat which
doesn’t go, and doesn’t suit me, And I shall spend my pension on
brandy and summer gloves……etc etc.
It has “Happy in my skin” across the stomach and “Pass the Cake” on the nipples.
